# Search values for an endpoint-sourced field

> Returns searchable `{value, label}` pairs for a field whose `values.kind = endpoint` (e.g. `license.spdx_id` backed by the embedded SPDX list).

A path for a scanner the caller's organization has not enabled answers `404` with the same body as an unknown path, so the value list of a gated field cannot be read and its existence is not disclosed.
