# Every Algorithm in a Project

> The Algorithms page lists each cryptographic algorithm Earnie detected in a project, with its key sizes, quantum status, and where it's used.

A project's **Algorithms** page lists each cryptographic algorithm Earnie detected, one row per algorithm, for example AES-256-GCM or RSA. It answers "which cryptography does this project use, and where?" without opening findings one by one.

To open it, select a project, then **Algorithms** in the sidebar. It's there only when your organisation has Cryptography, and every role that can read the project can open it.

Spellings that differ only in case or spacing are shown as one row.

## What Each Column Shows

| Column | What It Shows |
| - | - |
| **Algorithm** | The algorithm's name, with its family and primitive underneath. The name links to Review. |
| **Key size** | The key sizes, in bits, that the scanner reported for this algorithm. |
| **Quantum status** | The worst post-quantum verdict across the algorithm's assets: **Vulnerable**, **Unassessed**, **Safe**, or **Not applicable**. |
| **Severity** | The highest severity among the findings still open. Empty when every finding for the algorithm has been decided. |
| **Assets** | Distinct algorithm assets. One algorithm used at 500 call sites is one asset, the same count the Dashboard and the CBOM use. |
| **Files** | Distinct files in your own code. Sightings inside dependencies are counted separately underneath and are never listed as files. |
| **Open findings** | Findings not yet decided or suppressed. |
| **Libraries** | The libraries that implement the algorithm. |

Deciding a finding never makes an algorithm disappear from this page.

## Opening an Algorithm

Select an algorithm to open [Review](triaging-findings) filtered to that algorithm, showing the files that implement it with the first one open.

An algorithm that appears only inside dependencies has no file of your own. Its row says **Only in dependencies**, and its link opens **Components**, filtered to the packages that contain it.

## Searching and Filtering

* The search field matches algorithm names, families, primitives, and libraries.
* The filters narrow the list by primitive, quantum status, and severity.
* **Weak only** keeps the algorithms whose open findings reach High or Critical severity.

When the filters leave nothing to show, the page names the filters that are on, and **Clear filters** brings every row back.

## What's Next

For the project's cryptography at a glance, see the Cryptography tab on the [Dashboard](dashboard). To decide individual crypto findings, see [Triaging Findings](triaging-findings).
