# Hardware Requirements

> Recommended hardware specifications for running SCANOSS on-premise.

Hardware requirements vary depending on which Knowledge Base you choose to install during setup. You will be prompted to choose between the full SCANOSS KB or the Test KB, the Test KB is intended for non-production testing only and has significantly lower storage requirements.

**Supported operating systems:** Debian 11, Debian 12, CentOS

## Full Knowledge Base Requirements

| **RAM**   | 32 GB                       | 128 GB                    |
| **HDD**   | 23.5TB SSD (NVMe preferred) | 24TB SSD (NVMe preferred) |

## Test Knowledge Base Requirements
